In this project, I explore the connection between foreign lands and homeland through the perspective of an international student, while also seeking places that evoke raw, primal emotions.

By using analog photography and experimental darkroom printing techniques, I delve into the relationship between the surrounding environment, personal growth, and memory, reflecting on the fluidity of identity. The work is open to interpretation. For me, the light painting in the project symbolizes the fluid nature of identity. I believe that growing up and living in different cultural contexts means that identity is not fixed but is shaped by time, experience, and environment. The light painting also reflects the intersection of space and time, serving as a trace of memory, blending my current place with my memories of home place.

In the photos, a suitcase appears in various scenes, symbolizing the memories of my travels and experiences. It has accompanied me through different places, and it embodies my sense of being a wanderer, carrying my memories from home to the present place I inhabit.
