About
Yuhao Liu (Eric) is a Chinese contemporary artist and BFA candidate at the University of Auckland.
Working primarily with photography and video, his practice explores childhood memory, identity, and the emotional effects of exam-oriented education. Drawing from personal experience, he examines how systemic pressures shape the body and mind. Influenced by philosophy and psychology, his interdisciplinary works engage themes of displacement, belonging, and resistance, aiming to provoke reflection on broader cultural and emotional conditions.
