As young artists residing in this diverse environment of Aotearoa, we are constantly navigating though our bicultural identity and the shifting sense of home. Our sculptures-shaped from local materials such as stone, wood, sand, clay, plants, and fabric—hold us close to the whenua, grounding our presence here. Projected video works flicker across these surfaces, conveying moments of uncertainty through our personal encounters of foreign lands. The meeting of material and digital speaks to a quiet tension between feeling adrift and finding a place to belong. Though we come from different places, we now stand together on this land. This exhibition is an offering—an invitation to pause, reflect, and consider the fluid nature of culture, identity, and connection.
