Desire
Video, installation

Click to play the Video:

This art project examines modern society's desire for a fast-paced lifestyle, uncovering the fantasies and desolation hidden beneath its glamorous surface. It also reflects how consumerism and commodification in contemporary society lead to the loss of personal identity and the manipulation of individual desires. This includes an exploration of the rise of "fast-food" love, as personal sexuality, beliefs, and values are increasingly challenged and influenced by societal pressures, consumerism, and commodification.

Installation
For the final presentation, I chose to project the video onto the ceiling and set up a physical installation. I placed grotesque human limbs on plates to resemble fine dining in an upscale restaurant, creating a surreal and unsettling atmosphere.
By having the video play above the viewer, I aim to create a sense of being watched—like a finger pointing down at them. I want to evoke fear and urgency, encouraging deeper reflection on how society shapes personal identity.
